Specialty Contractor License Class C Limited To Work Within Residential Property Lines, Carpentry C-7, Floor Covering C-8, Floor Wood CoveringC-8R, Floor Covering Carpet C-8R, Finish Carpenty C-30, Finish Carpentry Marble Construction C-30R, Finish Carpentry Weatherstripping C-30r Experience Requirements, two years for restricted license categories to four years of pratical trade experience, two of which must be in the last ten years. Must post bond and must pass management and trade exam. $200 dollar app. fee 85 dollar exam fee.
Specialty Contractor License Class L Carpentry L-7, FLoor Covering L-8, Carpets L--13, Finish Carpentry L-60, Carpentry Remodeling and Repairs L-61, Wood Floor Laying and Refinishing L-64 Experience Requirements, tow years for restricted license categories to four years of pratical trade experience, two of which must be in the last ten years. Must post bond and must pass management and trade exam. $400 Dollar Application Fee, 85 dollar exam fee.


ARKANSAS LICENSE

CALIFORNIA LICENSE

License Limitations How You Qualify Fees
Specialty Contractor Class C Issued in 40 seperate classifications, relevant classification are Cabinet and Floor and Floorcovering Must have net worth of 2,500 dollars, 5,000 dollar surety bond, pass law and business exam, pass second special test relevant to the trade applying for. $ 150 dollar processing fee, 50 dollars for each additonal classification, 150 dollard initial license fee and 200 dollar renewal fee.


COLORADO LICENSE


There are no State license requirements for Colorado.


CONNETICUT LICENSE

DELAWARE LICENSE

Proof of Insurance, need to be bonded, Must obtain a Delaware contractors business license. Out of state contractors must provide a statement of contracts or have an office or residence inside the state. Must have bond equal to six percent or more of jobs equaling 20,000 or more. $50 dollar license fee

FLORIDA LICENSE

License Limitations How You Qualify Fees
State Certified Building Contractor Can work anywhere in the state Must have workers comp, must pass exam, must meet other educational or on the job requirements. $355 dollar examination fee, 125 dollar certification fee, 125 dollar biennial renewal fee.
State Registered Building Contractor Can only work in local areas where local requirements are met. Must contact local government for details, some are diffrent from others, after local requirements are met, a license may be applied for. $100 dollar registration fee, $100 dollar renewal fee
State Certified Residential Contractor Can only work anywhere in the state Must contact local government for details, some are diffrent from others, after local requirements are met, a license may be applied for. $100 dollar registration fee, $100 dollar renewal fee


GEORGIA LICENSE

License Limitations How You Qualify Fees
Contractors License Only non resident contractors need to purchase a license Must have bond for 10% of the value of the contract amount, must file tax returns on a monthly basis and withhold 3% of subcontractors wages for taxes. $10 dollar non residense fee


HAWAII LICENSE

Specialty Contractors License Class C Cabinet, Millwork, Carpentry Remodeling Repairs C-5, Carpentry Framing Contractor C-6, Carpet Contractor C-7, Flooring C-21 Proof of Insurance, Must have four years of supervised licensed experience. $50 dollar business and law exam fee


IDAHO LICENSE

Public works contractors must obtain a license, no license is needed for commercial or residential contractors.


ILLINOIS LICENSE

No State License is required for Illinois contractors.


INDIANA LICENSE

No State License is required for Indiana contractors.



IOWA LICENSE

Contractors License Any construction contractor in the state of Iowa, must be registered with the Iowa Division of Labor Obtain an Iowa employer account number, submit certificate of insurance listing the Division of labor as the certificate holder for workers copensation coverage. $25 dollar registration fee

KANSAS LICENSE

LOUSIANA LICENSE

License Limitations How You Qualify Fees
Building Contractors License Class C License is required for jobs of 50,000 or more, Building Construction Contractor Floor Installation and Residential work, Carpenters may request a Specialty Construction Contractors License. Submit references from licensed contractor, submit audited financial statement showing net worth of 10,000 dollars. Pass exam on basic construction, have insurance $100 license fee, 95 dollar additional classification fee, 400 dollar non resident surcharge.



MAINE LICENSE

No state license required for Maine Contractors.



MARYLAND LICENSE

License Limitations How You Qualify Fees
State Construction License Available for purchase in any counties, can work throughout state. Register with Dept of Assessment and Taxation, then apply for the license $15 dollar license fee



MASSACHUSETTS LICENSE

No State License required for Massachusetts Contractors.



MICHIGAN LICENSE

License Limitations How You Qualify Fees
Residential Maintenance and Alteration Contractor License Allowed to do business in state Pass written exam, reside or have an office in the state, submit a credit report directly to the dept of commerce on behalf of the owner and all officers of the company. $15 dollar application fee, 50 dollar exam fee, 30 dollar law and rules fee, 30 dollar practice and trade fee, 30 dollar renewal fee, 50 dollar homeowner construction lien fund assesement fee.



MINNESOTA LICENSE

No state license required for Minnesota Contractors.



MISSISSIPPI LICENSE

License Limitations How You Qualify Fees
Specialty Contractor Certificate Required for public jobs over 50,000, private projects over 100,000, under 7,500 square feet and one to two stories in height. Financial statement by a CPA must be submitted, assets must include a net worth of 20,000 dollars, out of state contractors must qualify with the secretary of state and pass a construction exam. $100 dollar application fee, 50 dollar additional classification fee



MISSOURI LICENSE

No state license required for Missouri Contractors.



MONTANA LICENSE

License Limitations How You Qualify Fees
Public Contractors License Any Contractor performing public work exceeding 5,000 dollars must be licensed. Three classes of License, Class A, value of project is unlimited
Class B, value is not over 100,000 dollars
Class C, Value not to exceed 25,000 dollars,
