Could anyone tell me what all places I can complain about a dishonest contractor (Bruce Barner of Atlanta, GA) who ran off with my money? I would appreciate any help.

Contact the license office in the county that the contractor is license and file a complaint. Contact the police and file a report in some state that is fraud if the contractor left without finishing the job or starting it.

Actually, it is not a criminal matter it is civil, therefore you should go ahead and report him to the BBC and anyone else that would listen such as the Attorney General, The Chamber of Commerce maybe even your local builders association. Then once you do that, sue his ass. Take him to small claims court and go after him that way. Most small claims courts have a limit so check with your local court.
